The radius of a spherical body is (10 + 0.5)
Then correct option is/are
(1) The percentage error in radius is 5%
(2) The percentage error in volume is 10%
(3) The percentage error in volume is 15%

Option 4)...

k.... why?

c

(   10                              ±                 0.5)

^ real value                                  ^ error in value

radius of sphere [r]=10

error in radius  [Δr]=0.5

percentage error in radius= Δr/r x100%  = 5%

percentage error calc. for volume is quite tricky....

follow carefully (differentiation method)

v=4/3 π r³

taking log on both sides...

log v = log(4/3π) {constant}  + 3 log r

differentiating

Δv/v = 0 + 3Δr/r

taking 100% on both sides and substituting Δr/r

Δv/v x100% = 3 x 15

=15 %
