\sf\small\underline\green{Given:-}

  • \tt{Radius\:of\:tier = 20cm}
  • \tt{Distance\: covered = 176m}

\sf\small\underline\green{To\: Find:-}

  • \tt{No\:of\: revolution = ?}

\sf\small\underline\green{Solution:-}

  • \tt{Calculate,\:circumference\:of\:tier}
  • \tt{Convert\:the\:distance\:m\:into\:cm}
  • \tt{Using\:formula\:of\: circumference}

\sf{\implies Circumference = 2\pi\:r}

\sf{\implies Circumference\:_{(tier)}=2\times\dfrac{22}{7}\times\:20}

\sf{\implies Circumference\:_{(tier)} = \dfrac{880}{7}cm}

  • \tt{Distance\: covered = 176\times\:100}
  • \tt{Distance\: covered = 17600cm}

\sf{\implies Revolution\:_{(Number)}=\bigg[\dfrac{Distance\:Covered}{Circumference\:_{(tier)}}\bigg]}

\sf{\implies Revolution\:_{(Number)}=\bigg[\dfrac{17600}{1}\bigg]\div\:\bigg[\dfrac{880}{7}\bigg]}

\sf{\implies Revolution\:_{(Number)}=\bigg[\dfrac{17600}{1}\bigg]\times\:\bigg[\dfrac{7}{880}\bigg]}

\sf{\implies Revolution\:_{(Number)}=\bigg[\dfrac{123200}{880}\bigg]}

\sf{\implies Revolution\:_{(Number)}=140}

\sf\small\underline\blue{Hence,\:No\:of\: revolution=140}

Answer:

Hint :-

  • Here given the radius of tier is 20cm .As we know that distance covering in one revolution is equal to the circumference of the tier which is circle in shaped which is 2 pi r .Here we put the value of radius in formula which will give us one revolution to travel the distance .Now to find the number of revolutions by 20cm is dividing the total distance by distance travelled in one revolution and then we get the required result of the question.

Now,

  • Lets substitute the value of r in circumference .

  • 2\pi \: r = 2 \times 22/7 \times 20 = 880/7cm.

Then,

  • And here given total distance =176m.

  • 176×100=17600cm.

From,

  • The given hint we should divide total distance covered by circumference. Here the circumference is 880/7
  • Thus we get ,

  • Revolution =17600/1×880/7

  •  =  \frac{17600}{7/880 }  = 140.

Therefore ,

  • The number of revolution takes to travel a distance of 176m is 140

Hope it helps u mate .
