the radius of circle is 5cm and distance from centre to chord is 3cm.find the length of the corresponding chord​

Since it is a circle if draw a slanting line on circle basically a hypotenuse ,the distance from the centre forms opposite and the chord ka half part forms base so by Pythagoras Theorem

3*3+x*x=5*5

x^2=25-9

x^2=16

Taking square root

x=4

Since we have got the first half so we will have add the second half by adding the value first half to it

4+4=8cm
