Answer:

\fbox{Solve :-}

Given,

R = 2m

F = R/2 = 1m

u = -3. 5m

We know that -

(a) = 1/v + 1u = 1/f

\rightarrow 1/v + 1/(-35) = 1/1

\rightarrow 1/v = 1 + 1/3.5 = 1 + 10/35

= 1 + 2/7 = 9/7

v = 7/9 = 0.77m

So, the image is formed 0.77 m behind the mirror.

(b) Now, m = - (v/u) = - (0.77/ (-3.5) = (7/9)/3.5 = 1/4.5

As m is positive, so image formed is virtual and erect.

Hope it helps you :)

Answer:

Given,

R = 2m

F = R/2 = 1m

u = -3. 5m

We know that -

(a) = 1/v + 1u = 1/f

\rightarrow→ 1/v + 1/(-35) = 1/1

\rightarrow→ 1/v = 1 + 1/3.5 = 1 + 10/35

= 1 + 2/7 = 9/7

v = 7/9 = 0.77m

So, the image is formed 0.77 m behind the mirror.

(b) Now, m = - (v/u) = - (0.77/ (-3.5) = (7/9)/3.5 = 1/4.5

As m is positive, so image formed is virtual and erect.
