Explanation:

Given,

radius of curvature (R) = 4 m

object distance(u) = -6 m

Image distance = v

We know that,focal length ,f = \frac{R}{2} = \frac{4}{2} = +2 m

Since,  \frac{1}{v}  + \frac{1}{u }  = \frac{1}{f}

         or, \frac{1}{v}  = \frac{1}{f} - \frac{1}{u}  

                   = \frac{1}{2} - \frac{1}{(-6)}

                    = \frac{2}{3}

  ∴ v = \frac{3}{2}  meter = 1.5 m

Thus,the image is formed 1.5 m at the back of the mirror.

Magnification(m) = -\frac{v}{u} = + 0.25 m

So,the image is virtual ,erect and smaller in size.
