Area of circle = π r ²

r = 1 cm

so, area of first circle is
22/7 x 1² = 3.14 cm²

area of second = 22/7 x (1/2) ²
3.14 x 0.5²
3.14 x 0.25 = 0.785 cm²

area of 3rd = 22/7 x (1/4)²
3.14 x 0.25²
3.14 x 0.0625 = 0.19625 cm²

So, 3.14 + 0.785 + 0.19625 = 4.12125 cm²

Answer:

22/7 x 1² = 3.14 cm²

area of second = 22/7 x (1/2) ²

3.14 x 0.5²

3.14 x 0.25 = 0.785 cm²

area of 3rd = 22/7 x (1/4)²

3.14 x 0.25²

3.14 x 0.0625 = 0.19625 cm²

So, 3.14 + 0.785 + 0.19625 = 4.12125 cm²
