The radius of geyser (in the shape of cylinder) is 20m and its height is 15m. Initially the geyser is empty. When we start filling the gyser with the water through pipe whose diameter is 40cm. Water coming out of pipe with a velocity of 10m/sec. How many minutes will it take in filling the gyser with water?

The time required to fill the geyser with water is 250 min.

First we will calculate the volume of cylindrical shape geyser

V=πr^2 h

Plugging the values in the above equation

V=π×〖20〗^2×15=18849.55 m^3

Now the time required to fill the geyser is calculated as

V=π/4 (〖0.4〗^2 )×10×t

18849.55=1.256×t

t=15007.63 sec=250 min
