Total surface area of hemisphere is 3πr².

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Given data

        Radius of hemisphere = r

  • We know that formula of curved surface area of hemisphere are given below

        C.S.A of hemisphere = 2πr²

  • We know that base base of hemisphere is circular in shape. Radius of circle will also be r.

        We also know that formula of area of circle are given below

        Base area of hemisphere (B.S.A) = πr²

  • Now total surface area of hemisphere are given below
  • Total surface area = C.S.A of hemisphere +Base area of hemisphere

        T.S.A = C.S.A + B.S.A

        T.S.A = 2πr² + πr²

       T.S.A = 3πr²= This will be total surface area of hemisphere.
