Radius of cation :- 95 pm
Radius of anion :- 181 pm
Radius ratio :- radius of cation/radius of anion
= 95/181
=0.524
Now we will check the value of coordination no. corresponding to this radius ratio.

Since, 0.524 lies in between 0.732–0.414, therefore coordination

Answer:

Co ordination number of Na ion is 6.

Explanation:

Given,

Radius of Na+ ion ( Cation) is 95 pm

Radius of Cl- ion ( Anion) is 181 pm

We know,

Radius \: ratio \:  =  \frac{radius \: of \: cation}{radius \: of \: anion}

Radius \: ratio \: =  \frac{95}{181}

Radius \: ratio \: = 0.524

Now we have to check the value of co-ordinate,

Since, 0.524 lies in between 0.732 and 0.414

Therefore,

coordination \:   = 6
