Given : The radius of a semicircular compound is 35 m.

To Find : Perimeter. (a) 45 m (6) 90 m (c) 135 m (d) 180 m

Solution:

Radius = 35 m

Perimeter of semicircle =  (1/2) Circumference of  circle  + Diameter

Diameter  = 2 * radius  = 2 * 35 = 70 m

Circumference of  circle  = 2 π r

(1/2) Circumference of  circle = (1/2)  2 π r

π = 22/7  r = 35 m

= (1/2) * 2 * (22/7) * 35

= 22 * 5

= 110 m

Perimeter = 110 + 70  = 180 m

Correct option is  d) 180 m
