given,

radius of sphere is r cm and then it is divided into 2 equal parts i.e, now each part is a hemisphere then,

area of hemisphere is 1/2 area of sphere and area of circle which forms when it cuts off in equal parts

here : given circle also has r cm radius

now, area of hemisphere

1/2 (4πr2) + πr2. = 3πr2

it area of one part. total area of both part will be

6πr2. ( here 2 near r represents square of r)
