Given that the sphere is divided into 2 equal parts.

The total surface of each hemisphere = 3pir^2.

Then the total surface area of two parts = 2(3pir^2)

                                                                   = 6pir^2.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Here is your answer,

The new solid formed will be hemisphere

Radius of hemisphere = r

Surface Area = 3 pi r^2

Now, the total surface area of 2 parts will be 2(3πr²)

Therefore, the answer will be 6πr²

Hope it helps you !
