whole surface area will be6 πr^2

It is because area of sphere is 4 πr^2

If it is cut it will divide into two parts with circular base so TSA of one part will be

=2πr^2+ πr^2

=3πr^2

It is surface area of one part so second part also will be 3πr^2

3pi r sq + 3 pi sq

6 pi r sq
