Given :

The radius of the base of a cone is 14 cm and its height is 24 cm

To Find:

find volume and curved surface area

Solution:

Radius of cone = 14 cm

Height of cone = 24 cm

Volume of cone =\frac{1}{3} \pi r^2 h = \frac{1}{3} \times \frac{22}{7} \times 14^2 \times 64

Volume of cone = 13141.33 cm^3

Curved surface area = \pi r \sqrt{h^2+r^2}=\frac{22}{7} \times 14 \times \sqrt{24^2+14^2}=1222.535 cm^2

Hence the curved surface area is 1222.535 sq.cm. and volume of cone is 13141.33 cubic cm
