The curved surface area of a cone is , where is the radius and is slant height We need to calculate slant height, it can be done by using the formula l² = r² + h² , where is height.

So, = l = √(r² + h²)

= √(5² + 12²)

= √(25 + 144)

= 169

We have curved surface area of a cone is

pie × r × l = pie × 5 × 13 = 65 pie cm²

Hence, the answer is 65 pie cm²
