Hi ,

1) given radius of the first circle ( r ) = 14 cm

    let radius of the second circle = R cm

    According to the given problem ,

area of the second circle = double the area of the first circle

                        πR² = 2 ×πr²

⇒                       R² = (2 × πr² )/ π

⇒                       R² = 2 × r²

⇒                       R = √2 ×r

∴                        R = √2 × 14

                          R = 14√2 cm

I hope this helps you .
