The radius of the earth is 6380km and the value of acceleration due to gravity on the earth's surface is 9.8m/s2. Calculate the acceleration due to gravity at the top of Mt. Everest. The height of Mt. Everest is 8848m from the earth's surface. [Ans: 9.7 m/s2]
