Length of cord is \mathbf{6\sqrt{3}(cm)}

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Radius of circle (R) =6 (cm)

2. Distance of cord from centre of circle (H)= 3 (cm)

3. As we know, if we draw perpendicular from centre of circle to cord it will bisect the cord.

4. It means perpendicular divide the cord in two equal parts.

5. So length of cord (L) is

  \mathbf{L= 2\times \sqrt{\left ( R^{2}-H^{2} \right )}}     ...1)

6. From equation 1)

  \mathbf{L= 2\times \sqrt{\left ( 6^{2}-3^{2} \right )}}

  \mathbf{L= 2\times \sqrt{27}}

  after solving

  \mathbf{L= 6\times \sqrt{3} (cm)}
