Let R be 12 cm and r be 9 cm

area of the circular path =

pie(R^2 - r^2)

22÷7 (12^2 -9^2)

22÷7(144-81)

371.2714cm square

Answer:

= 198 cm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

R = 12 cm

r  = 9 cm

area of the circular path between the two circles

                                                         = area of outer circle -area of inner circle

                                                           =  \pi R^{2} - \pi r^{2}

                                                          = \pi (R^{2} -r^{2} )

                                                           = \frac{22}{7}×(12^{2} -9^{2} )

                                                          =    \frac{22}{7} (12+9)(12-9)

                                                             = \frac{22}{7}×21×3

                                                             = 22×3×3

                                                             = 198 cm^{2}
