Hey
For roof :-
Length = 70 m = 7000 cm .
breadth = 14 m = 1400 cm
height = 10 cm .
Volume of rain = l * b * h
= ( 7000 * 1400 * 10 ) cm³
For cylindrical tank :-
Radius = 14 m = 1400 cm
Let the height be h cm .
So ,
volume = pie * ( 1400 ) ² * h
Now , while collecting rainwater , the volume of water will be same . So ,
pie * 1400 * 1400 * h = 7000 * 1400 * 10
=> pie * 1400 * h = 7000 * 10
=> pie * h = 5 * 10
=> h = 50 * 7 / 22
=> h = 25 * 7 / 11
=> h = 175 / 11
=> h = 15.9 cm
thanks :)
