The rain water collected on the roof of a building , of dimensions 22m x 20m is , drained into a cylindrical vessel having base diameter 2m and height 3.5m .If the vessel is full up to the brim, find the height of rain-water on the roof . ( use pie as 22/7)
please explain me with steps thank u.

Let height of water on the roof be h
So, Volume of water on roof = 22*20h = 440h
And, Volume of water in cylinder vessel = 22/7*1*1*7/2
= 11 m³
But Volume of water is same
So, 11 = 440h
so, h = 11/440
h = 1/40 m = 0.025 m
Hence, the height of rain-water on the roof = 0.025 m
So, Volume of water on roof = 22*20h = 440h
And, Volume of water in cylinder vessel = 22/7*1*1*7/2
= 11 m³
But Volume of water is same
So, 11 = 440h
so, h = 11/440
h = 1/40 m = 0.025 m
Hence, the height of rain-water on the roof = 0.025 m
