the rain water from the roof of dimensions 22 m×20 m drains into a cylindrical vessel of diameter of 2m and height 3.5m.if the rain water collected from the roof just filled the cylindrical vessel,then find the rain fall in cm . . . . . . . . . .

Hi,

U know that volume of roof is equal to volume of Cylindrical tank

l × b × h = π r² h

22×20×h = π (1)² × 3.5

On solving the value of h comes out to be,

h = 1/40 m

or h = 2.5 cm

so the rainfall in cm is 2.5 cm.
