because jausalmer is located at the west of the aravalis. we know that the bay of Bengal branch and Arabian sea branch gets intercepted there. The bay of Bengal which comes from west to east loses its moisture holding capacity as it's move from west to east . so the moisture holding capacity of this branch decreases . so it shades little amount of rainfall in jaisalmer.
