Answer:

mean = sum of all divided by total no

=0 + 1.4 + 12.1 + 2.2 + 21.5 + 4.5 + 1.0/7

{\huge{\underline{\boxed{\red{\mathcal{Answer}}}}}}

Given:

  • Rainfalls recorded for a week in a city

To Find:

  • Mean rainfall

Solution:

 Mean = \dfrac{Sum\;of\;all\;observations}{Total\;no.\;of\;observations} \\ \\ \implies Mean = \dfrac{1.4+12.1+2.2+0+21.5+4.5+1.0}{7} \\ \\ \implies Mean = \dfrac{42.7\!\!\!\!\!\!\bold{/}^{\:\:6.1}}{7\!\!\!\bold{/}_1} \\ \\ \bold{\implies Mean = 6.1mm\: rainfall}

Formula Used:

  •  Mean = \dfrac{Sum\;of\;all\;observations}{Total\;no.\;of\;observations} \\

Hope it helps!!!
