\textbf{\underline{Step-by-step explanation :- }}

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

Volume of cylinderical tank

= 22/7 × (14/2)² × 5 m³

= 22/7 × 14/2 × 14/2 × 5 m³

= 770 m³

Now, same amount of water of was collected on roof of dimensions 35 m × 20 m

Length × breadth × height = volume of cuboid

35 m × 20 m × h = 770 m³

h = 770 m³ / 700 m²

\huge{\textbf{\underline{h = 1.1 m}}}

Solution:

Given that,

Diameter of the cylindrical tank ⇒ 14 m

Height of the cylindrical tank ⇒ 5m

Now,

Radius ⇒ Diameter/2

⇒ 14m/2

⇒ 7m

Hence, Volume of the cylindrical tank is :

⇒ (22/7) × r × r × h
                                                                ⇒{(22/7) × 7 × 7 × 5}m
                                                                 ⇒769.69m³

Again,
Water collected on the roof ⇒ (35 × 20)m²

⇒ 700m²

According To The Question,

700m²⇒ 769.69m³

Height of the roof ⇒ 769.69m³ / 700m²

⇒ 1.09 m

Hence, the required height of the rain water on the roof is 1.09 m.
