Range of the function f(x) = 4sin(x) + 5/12:

We know that:

  • -1 ≤ sin(x) ≤ 1

multiply inequality by 4,

  • -4 ≤ 4sin(x) ≤ 4

add 5/12 to the above inequality,

  • -4 + 5/12 ≤ 4sin(x) + 5/12 ≤ 4 + 5/12
  • -43/12 ≤ f(x) ≤ 53/12

=> Range of f(x) = [-43/12, 53/13]
