Yes this is curse because as the population increase their needs also increase and this led to the poverty.

Population growth is the major cause of poverty.
The poor families in most of the countries believe that when the number of members is more in the family, it results in more income.
However, this isn’t true because the basic needs for growth and development is not fulfilled at all which eventually makes the condition quite worse thereby inhibiting them to work and earn further.
