SOLUTION

GIVEN

The rate of 1000 bricks is Rs 3000.

Ram needs 4000 bricks to build his house.

TO DETERMINE

The amount of money Ram have to pay for the bricks

EVALUATION

Let price of each brick = Rs x

Now the rate of 1000 bricks is Rs 3000.

So by the given condition

1000x = 3000

⇒ x = 3

So price of each brick = Rs 3

Now Ram needs 4000 bricks to build his house

Hence the amount of money Ram have to pay for the bricks

= 4000 × Price of 1 brick

= 4000 × Rs 3

= Rs 12000
