Let the principal be p.

Si of first 2 years at 3%=p*2*3/100=3p/50

or,Si of next 3 years at 8%=p*3*8/100=12p/50

or,Si of next 1 years at 10%=p*10/100=5p/50

given,

si of first+second+3rd=1520

3p/50+12p/50+5p/50=1520

20p/50=1520

or,20p=1550*50

p=3875

Answer:

For first 2 year r of i is 3 percent

For next 3 year r of i is 8 percent

For period beyond 5 year 10 percent (concentrate in the beyond line)

If man gets S. I for 6 year is 1520.

Here 6 year means, 1 year.

( total year is 6 out of which 5 year is gone, 2 year in 1st and 3 year in 2nd, now out of the 6 the remaining year is 1 )

Now,

IN 1st case

S. I=p*t*r/100

S.I=6p/100

In 2nd case

S. I=p*t*r/100

S. I= 24p/100

For 3rd case

S. I=p*t*r/100

S. I=p*1*10/100(6th year so T=1)

Therefore, 10p/100

Again now,

According to question

We have intrest received is 1520

(6p+24p+10p) /100

40p=1520

P=3800.
