The rate of transpiration increases on a hot, windy day because wind causesfaster movement of air and remove the moist air and faster evaporation of water and therefore higher rate of transpiration

becoz water is evaporated quickly during hot day--high temperature opens the stomata .....

transpiration is less in still wind because water vapour accumulates around the transpiring organ and reduce DPD of the air. rate of transpiration increase with velocity of wind ,because it removes moisture from the vicinity if the transpiring parts of the plant.
