Answer:

4 : 5

Step-by-step explanation:

A person wants to deposit his total savings in  two banks

Let say Amount to be invested =  A  & B  in banks a & b respectively

The rates of simple interest in two banks a and b are in the ratio 5 : 4.

=> Interest rate in a = 5R

& Interest Rate in b = 4R

Time Period = 6 months = 1/2 Years

Interest = P * R * T /100

=> A * 5R * (1/2)/100  =  B * 4R *(1/2)/100

=> 5A = 4B

=> A / B  = 4 /5

=> A : B :: 4 : 5

He should deposit the savings in banks a and b in the ratio 4 : 5
