Given :-

  • A salary : B salary = 8 : 7
  • A salary increased by = 10% .
  • B salary increased by = 20%
  • New Ratio of A & B salary = 96 : 77 .

To Find :-

  • Salary of A ?

Solution :-

Let us Assume That, Salary of A & B is 8x & 7x.

Than,

→ A increased salary = 8x + (10% of 8x) = 8x + [ (10 * 8x)/100 ] = 8x + 0.8x = 8.8x .

→ B increased Salary = 7x + (20% of 7x) = 7x + [ (20 * 7x)/100 ] = 7x + 1.4x = 8.4x .

Now, we have given That, New Ratio of Their Salary is 96:77 .

Therefore,

8.8x : 8.4x = 96 : 77

→ (8.8x)/(8.4x) = (96/77)

→ 8.8x*77 = 8.4x * 96

Here, Now, since x will be cancelled from Both Sides.

Hence, we can conclude That, salary of A can't be calculated with Given Data.

So, Our Answer will be Can't be Determined. .

Given:

  • The ratio of the salary of a and b is 8:7
  • a increases salary by 10%
  • b increases salary by 20%
  • The new ratio is 96:77

To Find :

  • The salary of A.

Solution:

  • let the salary of a = 8x
  • salary if b be = 7x

As per the question;

a increases salary = 8x+10% of x

= 8x+10×8x/100

=8x+0.8x

= 8.8x

b increases salary= 7x+20% of 7x

= 7x+(20×7x/100)

= 7x+1.4x

= 8.4x

Now,

8.8x/8.4x= 96/77

•°• The value if salary can't be determined.
