We have,

The ratio between length and breadth of a rectangular plot is 5 : 3 .

  • length = 5x

  • breadth = 3x

According to the question,

The perimeter of rectangle is 48 metre .

We know that ,

The perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

➝ 48 = 2 ( 5x + 3x )

➝ 48/2 = 5x + 3x

➝ 24 = 8x

➝ x = 24 /8

x = 3

  • length = 5x = 5 × 3 = 15m

  • breadth = 3x = 3 × 3 = 9m

We know that,

The area of rectangle = L × B

➝ 15 × 9
