Answer:

using formula = 2( side 1 + side2)

we get

2(3x+5x)=144

2(8x)=144

8x=72

x=9

hence in parallelogram adjacent sides are equal therefore

1 length = 27

2 length= 45

Answer:

The sides of parallelogram are 27 cm and 45 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

• The ratio between the adjacent sides of a

• parallelogram is 3 : 5

• The perimeter of the parallelogram is 144 cm

To find :

• The measure of the sides of parallelogram

Solution :

Let,

The adjacent sides of a parallelogram =

  • 3x
  • 5x

As we know ,

★ Perimeter of parallelogram : 2 (sum of the adjacent sides)

So,

⇒ 2 (3x + 5x) = 144

⇒ 2 (8x) = 144

⇒ 16x = 144

⇒ x = 144 / 16

x = 9

Value of 3x :

⇒ 3 (9)

27

Value of 5x :

⇒ 5 (9)

45

Therefore,

The sides of parallelogram are 27 cm and 45 cm
