Given :-

  • The ratio between the curved surface area and total surface of a right circular cylinder are in ratio 1 : 2.

To Find :-

  • The ratio between the height and radius.

Let,

→ The radius of cylinder = "r"

→ height of cylinder = "h"

→ C.S.A of cylinder = 2πrh

→ T.S.A of cylinder = 2πrh+πr²

So,

→ 2πrh/2πrh + πr² = 1/2

→ 2πrh/2πr ( h + r ) = 1/2

→ h/h + r = 1/2

→ 2h = h + r

→ h = r

→ h/r = 1/1

→ h : r = 1 : 1

Hence,

The distance between the height and radius of the cylinder = 1 : 1
