Answer:

let the sides be 5x and 3x respectively

area of a rectangle = l×b

=> 5x×3x=135

=>15x²=135

=>x²=9

=>x=9

therefore, first side = 5x= 5×9=45 cm

second side = 3x=3×9=27cm

perimeter of a rectangle =2(l+b)

=2(27+45)=2×72

=144cm

hope it helps:)

Given:

The side of a rectangle are in the ratio 5 ratio 3. If its area is 135 CM square, find the perimeter of the rectangle.

To find:

the perimeter of the rectangle.

Solution:

Let the side be 5x and 3x respectively.

Area of rectangle = l+b

➙5x×3x = 135

➙15x² = 135

➙x² = 9

➙x = 9

Therefore,first side = 5x => 5×9 => 45 cm

Second side = 3x => 3×9 => 27 cm

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b)

➙2(27+45)

➙2×72

➙144cm
