 \huge \underline \mathbb {SOLUTION:-}

Let us the number of boys and girls in the school as 4x and 5x respectively.

Given that:

  • Increased number of boys : 30%

  • Increased number of girls: 40%

Hence, The increased number of boys: [ 130% of 4x ]

Increased number of girls: [ 140% of 5x ]

Increased number of boys:

=> 130/100 × 4x

=> 520x/100

=> 260x/50

=> 26x/5

Increased number of girls:

=> 140/100 × 5x

=> 700x/100

=> 350x/50

=> 35x/5

Thus:

  • The required ratio is [26x/5] : [ 35x/5]
