Given that Q's present age = 20.

4x = 20

x = 5.

Therefore the present of Q = 4 * 5 = 20.

The present of P = 3 * 5 = 15.

5 years hence:

The age of P = 15 + 5 = 20.

The age of Q = 20 + 5 = 25.


The ratio of their ages = 20/25

                                      = 4:5.
