The ratio between the radius of the base and the height of a cylinder is 2: 3. Find the total surface area of the cylinder if it's volume is 1617 cubic centimeters

Let the radius of cylinder be 2x.

Then the height of cylinder be 3x

According to question

Volume of cylinder=22/7×2x×2x×3x

1617 =22/7×4x^2×3x

1617×7=22×12x^3

X^3=1617×7/22×12

X^3= 42.875

X= cuberoot 42.875

So x= 3.5cm

Then radius= 3.5×2=7cm

Height=3.5×3=10.5

Total surface area of cylinder=2×22/7×7(7+10.5)squarecm

=44×17.5squarecm

=770 square cm.
