Let A be x

A : B :: 3 : 5

And 3 : 5 :: x : 300

= 3 : 5 :: x : 300

= \dfrac{3}{5} = \dfrac{x}{100}

= 5x = 300 × 3

= 5x = 900

= x = \dfrac{900}{5}

= x = 180

The value of A is 180.
