Let the two numbers be 3x and 4x

(3x+6):(4x+6)=4:5, or

5(3x+6) = 4(4x+6)

15x+30 = 16x+24

or 16x-15x = 30–24, or

x = 6

So the numbers are 18 and 24 and the difference between them is 6
