dupliate ratio of 3:4, will be the square of the ratio, so this will be 9:16

and the compounded ratio will be product of two ratios
4:9 x 9:16 = 1:4 ( 9 will be cancelled and 16 by 4 )

Answer:

The compounded ratio of 4:9 and the duplicate ratio of 3:4 is 36 : 144.

Step-by-step explanation:

A duplicate ratio is written as x : y=x^{2} : y^{2}

Duplicate ratio of the given ratio 3:4 = 3^{2} : 4^{2}=9 : 16

The product or multiplication of two or more ratios is called as compounded ratio. For example: The compounded ratio of d:e and f:g is df:eg.

The Compounded Ratio of 4:9 and 9:16 = (4x9) : (9x16) = 36 : 144

Hence, the compounded ratio of 4:9 and the duplicate ratio of 3:4 = 36 : 144
