The ratio in which (-3,4) divides the line joining (1,2) and (7,-1) is​

Heya mate ur answer is...

Let the ratio be k:1

And the point at which the line is divided be (x,y)

Now, 4= (k*-1+1*2)/(k+1)

4=2-k/(k+1)

4(k+1) =(2-k)

3k=-2

k=-2/3

Now, ratio Can't be -ve so we take it positive.

Therefore ur answer is 2/3.
