We know that
- Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)
Where,
- l is length of rectangle
- b is breadth of rectangle
↦ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)
↦ 48 = 2(5x + 3x)
↦ 5x + 3x = 48/2
↦ 8x = 24
↦ x = 24/8
↦ x = 3.
Finding the dimensions of rectangle :
↦ Length = 5x
↦ Length = 5(3)
↦ Length = 15m
Length of rectangle is 15m.
↦ Breadth = 3x
