Concept used :-

  • 1 km is equal to 1000 m .

Solution :-

first we will make both units same .

as we know that,

→ 1 km = 1000 m

So,

→ 6 km = 1000 × 6 = 6000 m .

then,

→ Required ratio = 6km : 180m

putting 6 km equals to 6000 m ,

→ Required ratio = 6000 m : 180 m

→ Required ratio = 6000 : 180

→ Required ratio = 600 × 10 : 18 × 10

10 will be cancel from both ratio ,

→ Required ratio = 6 × 100 : 6 × 3

6 will be cancel from both ratio,

→ Required ratio = 100 : 3 (4) (Ans.)

therefore, the ratio of 6 km to 180 m is equal to 100 : 3 .
