Solution - In the above question , it is mentioned - The ratio of the ages of Amit , Balu and Chari is in the ratio, 5:4:3 . Let their ages ; i.e the ages of Amit , Balu and Chari be 5x, 4x and 3x respectively . As per this ratio , Balu 's age is 4x years. However it is mentioned in the question that Balu's age is 28 years . So , we have got this that 4x = 28 > x = 7 Now that we got the value of x, we can find the ages of each of the three persons . Age of Amit - 5x = 35 years Age of Balu - 4x = 28 years Age of Chari - 3x = 21 years . Now, the sum of alm their ages is 84 years . After 5 years , each of them will age by 5 years .
