  • The ratio of ages of Monu and Sonu is 5:7 . Four years later the ratio of there ages will be 3:4 . Find there present ages .

\sf{\huge{\mathfrak{\pink{\underline{solution}}}}}

let monu's and sonu's age be 5x and 7x

after 4 years :-

monu's age = 5x + 4

sonu's age = 7x + 4

ATQ:-

\sf \dfrac{5x + 4}{7x + 4} = \dfrac{3}{4}

\sf 4 (5x + 4 ) = 3 ( 7x + 4)

\sf 20x + 16 = 21x + 12

\sf 16 - 12 = 21x - 20x

\sf x = 4

  • putting value of x in the ratio

5x = 5 x 4 = 20 years

7x = 7 x 4 = 28 years

\sf{\bold{\red{\boxed{monu's age = 20years}}}}

\sf{\bold{\red{\boxed{sonu's age = 28years }}}}
