Solution
Given,
- the ratio of age of shyam and Nidhi five years ago was 2:3 .
- the ratio of the present days after 5 years would be 3:4 .
To find ,
- we have to find here the sum of present age .
So,
let the ratio be x .
after 5 years ;
- (3x-5)(4x-5)
before 5 years
- (3x-5)/(4x-5)=2/3
Now ,
the age of them after 5 years is ;
=> 3x-5/4x-5=2/3
=> 9x-15=8x-10
=> 9x-8x= 15-10
=> x = 5
There present age ;
Shyam : 3×5=15yrs
Nidhi : 4×5=20yrs
now the sum of their present age is ;
=> (15+20)yrs = 35yrs
The some of their present age is35yrs .
