The ratio of ages of Tina and Ravi is 2:3. Five years ago, the ratio of their ages was 1: 2. Find their present ages.​

let ages of tins and ravi be 2x and 3x

ages 5 years ago:

tina =2x-5

ravi=3x-5

but ratio of there ages before 5 yrs is 1:2

let ratio be 1x and 2x

so

2x-5=1x

x=5

hence present age of tina is 10 yrs and ravi is 15 yrs
