if ratio of bases=x:y
ratio of areas=a:b
then ratio of their corresponding sides=ay/bx

area = 1/2 *altitude *base
altitude =2 . area/base
ratio of their corresponding altitude = (area1/area2).(base 2/base 1) =a/b .y/x=ay:bx
